Intern @ SAMSUNG R&D Bangalore
Way to Samsung R&D Bangalore
Fear of getting an internship overcame when SAMSUNG R&D Bangalore visited our campus and hired us as interns. Limit of joy is long lasting that even now can’t forget that moment when i got the internship offer. Well this made the third year of my Engineering better than i expected.
May 15th, 2014 Orientation Day at VIVANTA by TAJ, an awesome day with new faces and first step towards the entry in the corporate world.
Orientation day was fun as it consisted of SAMSUNG and South Korea history, some general Korean words learning followed by paper formalities and some creative entertainment like prepare a song with in next ten minutes following group and team allocation.
Work @ Samsung
I was provided with a project and team which wasn’t familiar to me ‘ChatON Android‘. I started working on ADT (Android Development Tools) to familiarize myself with Android and to complete my work in time.
Initially some simple android app tasks were provided which i enjoyed working on, and later moved on to ChatON application. Coincidentally i met with an alumina of my college who was in same team as me. Well that was a great coincident which helped me along with my mentor and manager to overcome all the hurdles which came in my way to complete my task. As time passed i was getting to know more and more about my project, team and company.
I had company of 5 bhokali interns at my working station “Naples” out of which some are serious types and some are to be fun around.
Fun & Entertainment @ Samsung
With good work culture, fun and entertainment is also needed and so it was there in Samsung which sometimes is needed and very helpful for a distraction.
“Team Lunch” Leaving all the formalities behind and just moving out of work for fun with team where no work talks just masti. These things helps in good interaction and mood change from hectic work schedule.
“D J Night” In the first week of our work at Samsung, we were thrown an amazing DJ night where everyone hoped in.
We were also thrown an “Interns’ Day Celebration” where everyone partied harder. There was everything a good party should have – great DJ, great hosts, vocals and dance competitions, and what not. That was surely something that broke that week’s schedule and cheered us up during week days.
